Adrenaline Mob, the super group composed of stars from leading rock and metal bands, have offered their self-produced debut EP for streaming.

Former Dream Theater and Avenged Sevenfold drummer Mike Portnoy said: “Releasing the EP gives fans around the world a chance to get a taste of the MOB NOW without having to wait until the full-length album comes out at the beginning of next year.”

He is joined by Symphony X frontman Russell Allen, Sonic Stomp guitarist Mike Orlando, Stuck Mojo guitarist Rich Ward, and Paul DiLeo on bass.

The band will set off on their headline tour from August 14 and throughout September across the US, as well as opening for Godsmack later in the year. After the initial run of promotion for this EP, the band will be preparing their full length debut to be released in 2012.

The band formed early this year. In March, Allen said the band are “a straight-up rock band with just rock songs — kind of like an edgy, modern kind of sound. It’s not progressive or trying to be too metal or anything — it’s just good, old crunchy rock stuff … almost like Rob Zombie meets Black Label Society meets Disturbed, with [Ronnie James] Dio singing. It’s all this kind of craziness.”

Orlando complimented his Mob bandmates in an interview with Metal Symphony. “Russell and I have an amazing writing chemistry together and he is one of my closest and dearest friends. It’s an absolute pleasure to work with such a great talent as Russell on every level … Mike is just unbelievable. His playing is beyond words at times. He’s the utmost professional musician but also one of the nicest and coolest guys I have ever met and played with.”
